2018


I always think of 2018 as a pivotal year for me artwise, though I've never tried to articulate exactly why. If I had to try though, I'd say for starters it was a significantly much more productive year than most of the previous ones just in terms of quantity. I also finally started to get a little more comfortable using color. Last and maybe most pivotally, I think it was a year where I began to seriously develop a new set of subjects and styles and themes distinct from the ones I'd been mostly running in circles for the previous decade or so. Which isn't to say that there weren't still a bunch of disembodied screaming faces and shit like that, but there was also a lot of OTHER stuff in addition.
